To see Saw III or not !

Saw III movie This movie shows the decapitating of heads, cutting off body parts, and obviously a lot of guts. This movie in the first week was the highest making movie for the week.

a. Why would you want to see a movie like Saw III?
b. Why would you not want to see a movie like Saw III?
c. What does the popularity of movies like Saw I, II, III prove about our culture?

  • Ahh. The joy of scary movies! I love them! Hehe. I would want to see it to get scared. I wouldnt because I wouldnt be able to sleep:P We are totally sick minded:P

  • a.) I would want to see Saw III becuase it looks like it might be an okay movie to watch with friends or your partner. I would want to watch it with friends becuase then you would be all scared together, and we could also make fun of it, and turn some of the sick parts into funny parts possibly.

    b.) I would not really want to watch Saw III because I am not really one to watch a lot of blood and guts, It makes me really sick, I have a stomach ache now just thinking about it.

    c.) This isn't showing anything good about our culuture really, its showing mostly bad stuff. They are saying that we are just a bunch of sick minded people who are into blood, guts and gore. Its saying that we like having people crawl through millions of little needles, and watching them get their heads cut off, along with dying people. Its defintly not proving anything good, although people love watching these kind of movies.

    Overall I might not want to watch this movie, it depends who I am with and where we are.

  • a. I think I would want to see a movie like Saw III because I like scary movies, even though I can't sleep afterwards :P. I don't really do the whole blood guts and gore thing, unless I'm watching CSI or something. I love that show...anyway, back to Saw III. I might want to watch this movie with friends or family, but I would never watch it alone!!

    b. Too gross and/or scary. Although I don't really mind blood guts and gore because I watch enough CSI that I'm used to it, I don't really like the idea of people's body parts being sawed off and what not. Some people think that blood guts and gore and stuff are nasty, but it's just what's in you as well as anyone else. That's mainly why I don't think blood guts and gore is really that big of an issue. I would probably watch Saw III, I wouldn't mind all the gorey stuff, it's the scariness that would bother me and why I wouldn't watch a movie like Saw III.

    c. It proves that our culture is into watching people get murdered and sawed into pieces. It proves that we can all be a little sick in the head and that we are enjoying movies like these because companies keep on making them!! It proves that most of us like blood guts and gore. I don't like it, but I don't mind watching it at all. It's not that big of a deal to me. I think movies like Saw III make our culture seem sick...it kinda makes you think a little.

  • A) This is no offense to the people who will or have already watched saw III but I dont know why anyone would want to watch a movie like this, so to answer the question "Why would someone watch Saw III?" I do not know.

    B) I would not want to see a movie like saw three beause I do not enjoy watching people get there heasds blown off there body, and I also do not enjoy seeing guts fly. Personally I do not like any scary movie I just can't watch them.

    C) I think it proves that we live in a sick culture.

    I don't enjoy scary movie and I make sure i stay clear of them but for those who do like them I have nothing against you my best friend watches them all the time and she keeps inviting me to watch them with here but I just politely say " No Thanks!"

  • I don't know about ya'll, but blood and guts makes me want to throw up. I have a weak stomach and can't usually watch stuff like that. Some people would probably want to watch stuff like that because its a scary movie, duh! Everybody knows what its like to watch a scary movie! What does it say about our culture? I'm sure people in other countries watch stuff like that too. I think it says something bad about the world we are living in, not just our culture. No offense to people who watch Saw, but I'm not gonna watch it.

  • I think you need to ask yourself "why" you would want to watch something so gory and bloody? Don't you think it desensitizes you to what is going on the world around you?
    We shouldn't glorify this kind of stuff.

  • I think Saw lll is a good move for a scare, but it is kind of grusome and it could give some potential killer some inspirations. It's kind of sad but stuff like that could really happen. It shows that hollywood is running out of ways to get the audiences attention and if it takes something like killing to get our attention then were pretty messed up.

  • well saw 3 was the best and really cool and it is funny when other people get scared in the movie and it is gust a cool movie but that is why i went to watch saw 3

  • I would like to see it because I'm doing a project for school about Psycho, and it will help me in a certain way...

    Even if I enjoy scary movies, I would not want to see it because it is so gross and disgusting.

    I think that the popularity of this kind of movie is due to the fact that our society is missing true references and is giving less importance to serious things. I can't lie that I'm a part of this society.
